Wayne and Jenny Francis purchased a house and twenty acres in Finniss in 1994 with the intention of agisting their thoroughbred race horses when out on a spell. The property grew with the purchase of adjoining farm land and so did the number of race horses.
Today Finniss Lodge has developed into a haven for racehorses, mares, foals, yearlings and wealings.
Training facilities have also been established with equipment such as :- a horse walking machine, bungee pool, spelling yards, day yards, indoor barns, sand track and work to soon start on a 2200 metre training track.
